Back in Banner Elk

Hi friends!

Zoee and I have made it back to Banner Elk safely and in one piece. Zoee did well with the trip. Although she did have a little help from some kitty Valium. :) My mom and sister came up with me and they left Saturday morning. I appreciated their help because I definitely couldn’t get all my belongings up here. I just own too much stuff. HA!

I wanted to let everyone know that I am living in Sugar Mountain so my cell phone service is not all that great but you can reach me on my local cell number. 828.260.9038.

Talk to you soon! Safe travels!

What a Busy Winter

Hello Everyone!

This winter certainly was a busy one for me and Zoee. Nick has accepted a job at Friar’s Head Golf Club in Long Island as the assistant Pro. So he will not be returning to the mountains this summer. :(

But do not worry! I will be on May 10th! And I will have a new roomate, Rachel. She is a caddie at Floridian and at Diamond Creek.

My business plan for this summer is going to be  focused on more advertising and gaining more clients. Not that I do not love and adore my existing clients, but naturally my goal is to grow my lil business. I am happy to donate to any local charities, events, silent auctions or I will even volunteer.

I also plan on focusing more on the photography end of my business. I enjoy capturing your pets and creating memories for you to enjoy years down the road. I am currently looking for new models so I can update my website gallery. Please contact me if you are interested in a free session. 772.418.5612

We wish everyone happy and safe travels back to the mountains. Visit http://www.takeyourpet.com for tips on how to travel with your pet.

All the best,

Two Legged Visitors

Happy Thursday everyone!

Zoee and I had some 2 Legged visitors the last few days. My mom and sister came up from Florida and we had a BLAST! We did some shopping in downtown Boone, where I fell in love with a boutique, Lucky Penny. I’m sure I will be going there very soon. We also did some shopping in downtown Blowing Rock. We went to Grandfather Mountain and visited the Zoo and walked the Swinging Bridge. My sister wasn’t too thrilled with that. We went Ziplining and Horseback riding and finished the visit with an amazing dinner at Artisianal for my mom’s birthday. Now we are preparing for Nick’s mom’s visit. And I’m sure it will be just as fun. DSC00452

Second Official Client

I just want to say that I adore my second client, Jax. He is a teacup yorkie. He is so calm and will follow me anywhere. I want him! :) He went for a walk with my other clients, Buddy and Blossom. The puppies got along great! It was a fun day. I did manage to display some of my cards at some businesses around town. Lowe’s Grocery, the Banner Elk post office, Wraps shipping, and Mountain Retreats Reality.  It’s a start!

Good Morning and Happy Monday

Good morning everyone!

Let me just say that I hate peer pressure. I had the opportunity to go to the lake today with some friends that rented a pon-toon boat. Trust me I would have loved to but I have responsibilities and commitments. But thank you ‘friends’ for trying to get me out for a little fun and sun. There are just not enough hours and days in a week.

On another note I spent an hour yesterday before work and went to an Art and Craft Show. Didnt find much but I bought a couple of all  natural, hand made soaps, and a couple pairs of earrings made with precious stones. Work was good last night, but I have a decision to make. I was asked to go full time at the restaurant. I need to decide quick.

As far as business news, I plan on making a list today of the places I want to display my business cards. I need to design and print my brochures, update the website, and type up a press release with an ad.

Well there is much to do. Gotta get Nick motivated to help me around the house. :)

Hello World!

Hi everyone and welcome to my first official Blog, which I will call “The Daily Dog”. I am very excited to get my business and website going. A special thanks to Nick Ondrako, of PGA Designs. He has helped me get my website up and also my boyfriends, www.nickbovagolf.com. And thanks to my boyfriend, Nick,  for being my “cheerleader” and believing in me. My first thought to this whole business venture is, “Wow! I have so much to do and so little time.” So please be patient. I am a perfectionist and never satisfied. :) I will be constantly updating the website. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions please do not hesitate to contact me candace@4leggedfriendsnc.com.

On another note: I met with my first official client yesterday so I could meet her 2 Dachshunds, Buddy and Blossom. They are adorable!  Work last night at Artisanal was good. Got home about 12 a.m. My last 2 tables were people from South Florida. I was envious of their tans. :) Honestly though there are so many Floridians here that I really do not feel like I am away from home. I miss my sister, Erica, and my friends. I cannot wait till my mom and sister come for a visit in July!!!

Well that’s all for now. Much to do!
